When the client in McKinney, TX approached Bath Tune-Up with concerns about their outdated bathroom, their goal was clear: they needed a space that would allow them to age in place safely—without sacrificing the modern style they loved. Their existing bathroom featured a traditional tub and worn finishes that posed daily challenges to mobility and safety. What they envisioned was a space that felt open, elegant, and secure. With a project budget of approximately $39,000, our team designed a complete remodel that blended thoughtful accessibility features with sleek design elements, all while staying within the original footprint of the room.

At the heart of this remodel was the couple’s desire for a safer bathing experience. The traditional tub was removed and replaced with a zero-threshold walk-in shower featuring non-slip tile flooring. A fixed glass shower panel was installed on one side, while the opposite side was left open for easy, unobstructed access—eliminating the need for a bulky door. Inside the shower, we installed a foldable bench and strategically placed grab bars, offering both convenience and peace of mind.
